Pinterest's Updated Terms - What's Changed?

Pinitrest Changes its Privacy Policy!

After Google, now Pinterest has come out with changes to its Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Privacy Policy. The reason given by them is "easier to understand and better reflect the direction our company is headed in the future." 

What Has Changed? :

• Change 1) Our original Terms stated that by posting content to Pinterest you grant Pinterest the right for to sell your content. Selling content was never our intention and we removed this from our updated Terms.

Change 1) Advantage :The first change is a well needed one and something that many have been demanding for quiet some time. It is a Welcome and necessary change. 

Disadvantage : More changes such as places where Pinterest owns any image pinned on their website which make people weary of pinning things could have been changed!

• Change  2) We updated our Acceptable Use Policy and we will not allow pins that explicitly encourage self-harm or self-abuse.

  Change 2) As they grew bigger the introduction was something to be expected since they are being more critically analyses and watched for every step and also to protect them self from any legal battles related to such pins.

Social Media On Gmail - Rapportive

If you use Gmail then the Rapportive plugin is just the one for you! I have been using the plugin for about a week now and i absolutely love it! Being able to view the social media information such as tweets Facebook updates and not to mention a list of older gmail conversations has been a great help to me. Though initially skeptical within a week i have come to rely on the tool greatly!

For bloggers and readers alike twitter has evolved to become a place where information is shared and more often than not becomes viral and drive insane amounts of traffic if you can play your cards right.

For those twitter fans a flurry of twitter managements  software have been available most of them very similar to each other eg. TweetDeck, HootSuite and SocialBro which enable us to tweet better.

A few days ago i got a mail from SocialBro about the new collaboration between HootSuite and SocialBro. As a hardcore TweetDeck fan myself, the new feature from HootSuite is making me consider changing.

Using SocialBro's feature which allows you to identify the time when most of your readers are online Hootsuies schedule tweet function schedules your tweets to those time, making sure that more of your users see your tweets! Update : I just found out that they are offering the same feature on Buffer too. Buffer used to enable you to schedule your tweets and now SocialBro Takes care of the scheduling! It just keeps getting better and better! (Official Announcement and a How to Instruction for Buffer)
